About The Colony
The Colony at White Pine Canyon sits above Canyons Village on the Park City Mountain side of town, in unincorporated Summit County, about five miles from Main Street. It covers roughly 4,600 acres, about 90% of it deed-restricted open space, with 274 single-family homesites released in five phases since the late 1990s. The Quicksilver Gondola runs through the community.
- Skiing: many homesites ski in and out of Park City Mountain (Vail Resorts, Epic Pass) over private ski easements. Access differs by lot, and you still need a lift pass.
- Lots: homesites run from about 3 acres to more than 100, each with a defined building envelope. Lots can include a guest house, and some allow horses.
- Amenities: a private owners’ yurt on the mountain, plus hiking, biking and horse trails, with access to the Mid-Mountain Trail.
Homes in The Colony
Expect large custom mountain homes, often with guest houses, along with a limited number of remaining homesites. A design review board governs building envelopes, height and materials, so homes blend into the hillside.
What buyers and sellers should know
HOA dues here are among the higher in the Park City area, so build them into your budget. Ski access is lot-specific: confirm the run and lift that serve the property before you buy.
